A Cumnock man is set to “parlez vous politique’ with senior French politicians at an international conference today (Friday 29) - but he can’t speak French!
Former Cumnock Academy Pupil, Gavin Corbett is going head to head with French housing minister Christine Boutin, at the “Voir en Grande” conference in Paris.
Mr Corbett said: “I don’t speak French at all. I studied German at school which is not much use as I never get a chance to use it. Hopefully there will be a translator. I can speak a bit of French but I wont be discussing the ins and outs of housing politics.”
