Egger reassures meeting

Egger has assured the community that it will not be looking to axe ambient air monitors in the village.

The company was keen to stress that they would be keeping the monitors in sites around Auchinleck following concerns raised that they were going to have them removed.

With regards to the air monitors, a spokesperson for Egger said: “We have converted a couple of our monitoring units to fixed power in order to eliminate the possibility of battery failures, which have been a concern to the local Councillors, and our intention is to provide fixed power to the remaining three units.”
