GAMES MISS OUT ON TV SLOT
By Sandy Kilpatrick
Organisers 'gutted' as Cumnock snubbed
An American TV production company has snubbed Cumnock Highland Games.
BASE Productions from Virginia were set to visit the games to film strong man Jason Young from Tain.
But the company behind programmes for National Geographic and the Discovery and Fox Network will miss Cumnock due to “scheduling problems.”
Secretary of Cumnock Highland Games James McMillian said he was ‘angry’ and ‘gutted’ by the decision but is confident the day will be a big success.
The Highland Games will be held on August 24 12.30am - 5.30pm at Broomfield park.
