Cumnock man praises police officers.

A Cumnock man who was minutes from death has spoken for the first time of the moment two police officers saved his life.

Almost three months ago the actions of PC Stuart McCulloch and DC Jennifer McCulloch saved 57-year old Davie Ferguson’s life after he suffered a heart attack at the wheel of his car.

Davie told his rescuers who he was meeting for the first time since the incident - “I wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for you.”

The police officers life saving work earned them a commendation from Ayrshire’s divisional commander Superintendent Bill Fitzpatrick.
