Police patrols will be on the increase to crackdown on drink drivers.

Part of the summer drink driving initiative will see anyone stopped by officers in Cumnock, Doon Valley and Upper Nithsdale breathalysed.

Members of Ayrshire Road Policing Unit and Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary will be out in force.

The campaign aims to target the unacceptable risk posed by drink and drug drivers.
