Amber Young was hit by a car in Hearth Road

Angry parents in Cumnock are demanding action over speeding drivers in their street.

The call comes after seven year old Amber Young was knocked down by a speeding car in Hearth Road.

Amber from Greenmill Primary School was not seriously hurt but parents are anxious over the incident.

Mum, Carol Young said: “It shouldn’t take an accident or someone being killed before the council accept that something needs to be done about this road.”
