Tanker overturns on main road
A MILK tanker has upturned on the A76 between Kirkconnel and New Cumnock early this morning (Wednesday May 14).
The man driving the tanker has not been named and is not injured. He was heading south when his tanker went off road just past the boundry lines into Dumfries and Galloway, four miles outside Kirkconnel.
A spokesman for Dumfries and Galloway constabulary said: “The first call came in at 8.15am concerning a HGV that had upturned and left debris over the road. Recovery for the HGV has been arrannged. The road isn’t blocked but single lane traffic is being enforced by police officers.”
